I have been writing children’s stories and poems since I was six, perhaps even earlier. I have always had a tendency to imagine and dream about magical ‘happenings’ all around us, in particular most everything regarding fairies. In my mind I have illustrated fairy villages in the forest near mossy creek banks, fairies on the window ledges of city buildings, fairy celebrations in the light of the moon, and so on. I have just finished my first novel (for young readers) based on an epic length fairy poem I wrote when I was a young child. I hope to share that story with you soon. I  simply cannot remember a time that I wasn’t imagining scenes or writing a children’s story… even knowing no one may ever read them. Now that I have two daughters who love magical tales of fairies, dragons, or any other-worldly creature, I decided to share my stories with them. My daughters are my biggest fans, their faces lighting up as they turn the pages and journey into the story really defines my drive to write and publish.  Seeing Mom work diligently to realize a lifelong dream and enjoying a small part of that work in a published book serves a wonderful example of love, creativity, and persistence.
